Job description

As a BMS (Building Management System) Field Service Technician II here at Honeywell you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining building automation and control systems. This includes HVAC controls, energy management systems, lighting controls, and integrated building technologies. The technician ensures that building systems operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with customer requirements and industry standards.

You will report directly to our Senior Field Service Supervisor and you'll work out of our Miami, FL location on an On-site work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Installation & Commissioning

  • Install, configure, and program BMS hardware and software components.
  • Commission HVAC control systems, including VAVs, AHUs, chillers, boilers, and
  • thermostats.
  • Upload, download, and modify system graphics, sequences, logic, and parameters.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics on BMS
  • systems.
  • Identify system faults, alarms, or performance issues and provide corrective
  • actions.
  • Troubleshoot sensors, controllers, actuators, networks, and communication
  • protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.).

Customer Support & Documentation

  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on system usage and
  • optimization.
  • Prepare service reports, documentation, and recommendations for system
  • improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with building engineers, facility managers, and
  • contractors.

System Performance & Optimization

  • Review building performance data to identify energy savings opportunities.
  • Adjust system settings, schedules, and performance parameters to improve
  • efficiency.
  • Ensure all system changes and repairs comply with relevant standards and
  • customer expectations
