BAS/HVAC Controls Specialist

$80,000 - $120,000 per year | San Diego, CA | On-Site | Permanent

A bit about us:

We are a national building automation and energy services provider committed to delivering full‑scope smart building automation. Our goal is to help building owners and managers improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance tenant comfort.

As a controls specialist on our operations or service team, you will conduct preventative maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of BAS/BMS controls. Approximately 80% of the role is field‑based at customer sites, and you will be provided a company vehicle.

Responsibilities
  • Perform start‑up, checking, testing, system diagnostics, and commissioning from system‑level controllers to end devices for small to medium‑sized new or retrofit projects.
  • Manage field work, including travel to client sites and using company vehicles as needed.

Job Details MUST HAVE
  • 2+ years of building automation (BAS/BMS) or commercial HVAC controls experience
  • Willingness to be in the field locally at client sites roughly 80% of the time
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following BAS systems: Schneider Electric, Siemens, JCI, ALC, Trane, Delta Controls, Distech, Honeywell, or other
  • Experience with the Siemens Desigo platform
