USAC’s target compensation range for a new hire into this position is $60,000-$85,000 USD per year. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors based on knowledge, skills, and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual performance bonus. Your Role

We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic and collaborative professional to serve as a Service Desk Engineer I will provide support for issues that have been escalated from first-tier Service Desk staff. Additionally, this position is expected to support Service Desk engineering tasks such as corporate image creation/maintenance, operating system and software patch management, and create/design/deploy software packages for automated deployment.

Your Responsibilities

Working in a creative and fast-paced environment, the Service Desk Engineer I will:

  • Corporate operating system image creator/maintainer.
  • Patch management for end-user workstations.
  • Support the yearly refresh project.
  • Perform large scale software deployments to end-user workstations.
  • Troubleshoot group policy settings.
  • Reimage workstations as needed.
  • Maintain corporate hardware standards.
  • Perform physical setups for new users and recover hardware for terminations.
  • Manage print issues as escalated from other Service Desk staff.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

About You

The successful candidate will excel at operating in a diverse and fluid environment and will be crucial for the success of the IT department.

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant technical training and certifications. CompTIA A+ and/or HDI Desktop Support Technician certifications desired. A combination of education, experience, and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work may be considered.
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years of directly related experience.
  • Have a minimum of one (1) year of advanced computer expertise.
  • Have a minimum of one (1) year of experience with Microsoft Office Application Suite (O365 and/or 2016), Microsoft Operating Systems (7 and 10), Microsoft Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Have a minimum of one (1) year of experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and/or BMC Client Manager.
  • Have a minimum of one (1) + years of experience with creating standardized operating system images for large scale deployments.
  • Experience with on-site and remote end-user customer service, audio/visual systems support, and working with a ticketing system desired.
