Business Management Associates (BMA) is seeking Jr. HR Specialist with knowledge of Human Resources Management (HRM) principles, concepts, regulations, and practices, analytical methods and techniques, process and code actions, and consultative skill sufficient to resolve HR problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
  • Assist with providing administrative and technical support to HR Specialist staff.
  • Assist with processing a wide variety of unique appointments, pay actions, regulatory authorities, approvals, and support documents which includes but is not limited to Coding Requests for Personnel Actions (SF-52s), ensuring all data elements are correct, entering personnel actions into HRLinks, and other government provided database systems, and sending the appropriate paperwork to the payroll office for all personnel actions. Ensures that information is accurate and that all personnel actions are processed in a timely manner and are consistent with regulatory and administrative requirements.
  • Assist with verifying veterans' preference, annuitant indicators and all data points on the SF-50.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding processes.
  • Assist with computing and verifying service computation dates (SCDs).
  • Assist with managing the production and maintenance of personnel records in the eOPF system in accordance with Federal HR laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Assist with uploading documents and reviewing staffing casefiles in USAStaffing to ensure all documents are in the file.
  • Assist in managing PD library uploads and updates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Management (HRM) principles, concepts, regulations, and practices, analytical methods and techniques, and consultative skill sufficient to resolve HR problems.
  • Knowledge of current Federal HR laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Demonstrated experience with federal pay scales, policies, and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Associates Degree, Bachelor's preferred. 2 to 3 years of federal human resources experience.
