Who we are: Global Procurement Organization Finance (GPOF) is dedicated to answering the questions above, which drive the Amazon flywheel.

The GPOF team validates procurement methodologies, supports vendor negotiations and strategy, and delivers analysis to identify controls and risks opportunities and benefits impacting category management and procurement operations. We are looking for a curious person who wants to learn, develop and grow. The candidate will collaborate with many procurement colleagues and is a trustworthy business partner for our engineering teams.

Team Exposure: This role collaborates closely with a broad range of global finance and business leaders in Procurement, Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams towards controllership and risk functions. The role also partners with stakeholders across technical projects & software development teams, capital planning, compliance, risks and controls. This role involves driving initiatives, collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to lead business improvement and driving controls and policy compliance across the global procurement organization

This role also maintains project oversight, drives initiatives and policy reviews and partners with category management on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the scalability and efficiency of the procurement organization.
Success in this role: The successful candidate has demonstrated the following abilities: they drive strategic decisions and provide thought leadership to influence senior business owners, while challenging assumptions and plans with data-driven recommendations. They navigate ambiguous environments independently and design long-term solutions with limited guidance. They collaborate effectively with executives and various business units across Amazon, building trust through expertise and high judgment

About the role: Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager within Global Procurement Operations Finance to own and drive strategic controllership initiatives that shape global procurement decisions. This role will independently lead high-impact, business-critical processes with significant visibility to senior leadership, including frequent interactions with Directors and VPs within Operations and Finance. You will develop and implement robust financial controls and risk management frameworks while building and maintaining strategic partnerships across multiple organizations, including Operations business teams, engineering services, and Finance teams throughout Worldwide Operations

You will lead complex financial analyses and modeling efforts that drive strategic decision-making, while architecting and implementing scalable solutions that enhance planning/reporting mechanisms. The role involves identifying and driving long-term investment strategies and cost optimization opportunities across the Fulfillment Center network, while managing multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
