Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Mobile Application Test Engineer to join the Find My engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating the critical features that help millions of users secure and locate their Apple devices, personal items, and shared locations.
Working embedded within the native Apple ecosystem, you will design, scale, and execute robust automated test suites using Swift and XCTest/XCUITest. You will ensure the flawless performance, reliability, and privacy of the Find My application across complex network environments, physical device ecosystems, and deeply integrated system services.
Key Responsibilities
Native Automation Ownership: Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI and functional test automation frameworks from the ground up using Swift and the native XCTest / XCUITest frameworks.
Ecosystem-Level Testing: Author and execute test suites that validate complex, multi-device communication workflows, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tracking, Ultra Wideband (UWB) interactions, and offline-finding mechanics.
Deep Development Collaboration: Work side-by-side with iOS core developers to perform code reviews, enhance codebase testability, and isolate defects early in the software development lifecycle.
CI/CD & Pipeline Management: Integrate automation suites seamlessly into internal CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous verification of daily builds and prevent regression regressions across iOS/watchOS/macOS releases.
Triage & Complex Debugging: Triage automated test failures across real hardware devices and simulators, isolating localized app-level bugs from backend service issues.
Privacy & Security Verification: Ensure all automated workflows strictly adhere to Apple s stringent user data privacy, location security, and end-to-end encryption standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
iOS Testing Expertise: 4+ years of professional software quality engineering experience, specifically focused on native iOS application automation.
Swift Mastery: Strong proficiency in Swift, with an understanding of modern language features, concurrent programming, and native design patterns.
Native Apple Frameworks: Extensive hands-on experience authoring automated tests using XCTest(unit/integration) and XCUITest (UI/functional workflows).
Tooling & Platform Knowledge: Expert familiarity with Xcode, Instruments, Simulator orchestration, and managing internal app distribution and provisioning.
Core Mobile Technologies: Strong foundational understanding of core mobile hardware features, including CoreLocation, Bluetooth (BLE), and background processing limitations.
