Earn a $1,000 Signing Bonus. You will receive $250 at your 3 month, 6 month, 9 month and 1 year anniversaries!

Amatrol is seeking an expert-level Fabricator Welder capable of handling complex, precision builds and high-skill fabrication work. This position requires someone who can confidently take on advanced assemblies such as the .065" 304 Stainless Steel Tube Welding and other custom builds that demand strong layout skills, excellent blueprint interpretation, and a deep understanding of structural and plate fabrication.

This is not a general welder position; you will be functioning as a senior-level fabricator with the ability to solve problems, work independently, and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Performing advanced fabrication, layout, and fit-up on complex assemblies.
  • Setting up and operating all types of welding processes (TIG, MIG) on a wide range of materials.
  • Completing precision work on tubing, structural steel, and plate materials.
  • Reading and interpreting complex drawings, prints, and weld symbols; able to reverse-engineer or problem-solve missing information.
  • Leading fit-up and tack weld sequences while accounting for shrinkage, distortion, and tolerance requirements.
  • Fabricating fixtures, jigs, and custom tooling when needed.
  • Completing high-skill weld repairs and modifications.
  • Performing prep, grinding, finishing, and inspection on completed weldments.
  • Supporting engineering with prototype builds and continuous improvement.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment.

What you need to get the job

  • 8+ years of welding and fabrication experience (or equivalent expert-level ability).
  • Proven experience handling complex assemblies.
  • Expert proficiency in TIG and MIG welding on steel and other metals.
  • Strong blueprint reading — including layout, tolerancing, and weld symbol interpretation.
  • Demonstrated ability to fabricate from scratch: layout, forming, and assembly.
  • High mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision at an expert level.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred.

We Offer

  • Earn a $1,000 Signing Bonus. You will receive $250 at your 3 month, 6 month, 9 month and 1 year anniversaries!
  • Day shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Mon–Thu), 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Fri)
  • 44-hour work week with seasonal overtime
  • Climate-controlled facility
  • Paid holidays
  • PTO plan: 120 hours first year, up to 5 weeks max
  • Free access to our full eLearning library
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA
  • Company-paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability
  • 401(k) with match
  • Opportunities for advancement and skill development
  • Family-owned company with a strong team culture
