Job Summary
The Business Systems Analyst Associate gathers business requirements and translates them into functional and technical requirements within the appropriate application systems, in some cases serving as a technical liaison between the IT enterprise business solutions development team and the business community. The analysis and configuration of application systems, modifying existing systems to improve workflow or to serve new purposes is critical in this role. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring functionality, user acceptance and effective implementation of changes is met to solve problems, achieve business requirements and improve system performance.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Healthcare Management or related field with demonstrated college coursework and projects (i.e. internship which utilized critical thinking and analysis skills). In lieu of degree, five (5) years' business process analysis, data analysis or systems analysis experience with a complex system technology will be considered.
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
Data testing and/or software application testing experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL ABILITIES

Responsibilities
• Assists with developing test scripts, executing test plans and maintaining test cases to assess system functionality and ensure user acceptance testing.• Collaborates with various internal departments, external customers, and leadership to obtain cross functional team consensus on the interpretation of business requirements and needs.• Conducts training of new procedures, system modifications and system releases upon request.• Configure system through the use of logic statements and devises effective solutions to problems and new opportunities.• Develops enterprise business solution system requirement documents and technical specification documents for applications, which may be used to assist user groups with the development and delivery of training programs or presentations.• Identifies and executes improvement initiatives related to testing.• Integrates data from multiple data sources or functional areas, ensures data accuracy and integrity, and updates data to develop statistics and design methodologies used for decision making and new business initiatives.• Peforms other duties as assigned.• Performs root-cause analysis and audits to verify workflow and identify process improvements and confers with internal and external customers to identify system requirements.• Prepares reports or data delivery by analyzing and summarizing the information and trends to make recommendations regarding system changes.• Provides detailed documentation of system errors with an explanation of error, expected results and any examples needed to resolve the error utilizing the appropriate tracking method for the assigned system.• Serves as a technical resource to guide the research, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of new enterprise business solution systems and enhancement of existing systems to meet business needs.
