Job description

Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees within the State of Illinois by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel, adhering strictly to the Private Detective, Private Security, and Private Alarm Act.

  • Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment.
  • Control access by directing visitors and issuing passes.
  • Complete reports by accurately recording observations, incidents, and surveillance activities.
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy.
  • Respond immediately and appropriately to alarms and calls for assistance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for armed positions).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for detailed report writing.
  • Training in CPR/First Aid preferred.

Candidate MUST possess or be eligible to obtain a Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) prior to the start of employment. New hires must complete the state-mandated 20 hours of Basic Security Guard training within 30 days of employment. (For Armed Positions Only: Requires an additional 28 hours of firearm training and a valid Firearm Control Card (FCC) and Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) Card.)
