Your Role at KIK
We're seeking an experienced and safety-focused Blow Mold Operator on 2nd Shift 4:00 pm - 2:30 am (Monday - Thursday with Fridays and weekends based on business need), where you will operate and optimize blow-molding equipment to safely produce high-quality containers. In this skilled operator role, you will perform machine start ups from a cold condition, changeovers, quality checks, and routine troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain bottle and packaging specifications. You will work closely with other operators, production, and maintenance teams to follow established procedures, maintain accurate production and quality records, and keep your work area clean and safe.
What You'll Do
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot blow molding machines to ensure safe, efficient production
  • Start up equipment from cold conditions through full production, ensuring containers meet all quality specifications
  • Access and interpret Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance
  • Perform daily equipment setups and bottle size changeovers across assigned lines
  • Conduct routine quality checks, adjust machine profiles, and document all changes accurately
  • Maintain daily production and quality control records for assigned equipment
  • Coordinate process operations to maximize efficiency and communicate effectively with production and support teams
  • Stay current on process changes and procedures by reviewing logs, special instructions, and posted communications
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping standards

What You'll Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating blow molding or injection molding equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, including following written and verbal work instructions
  • Experience with Uniloy machines preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to safely use basic hand tools
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or shift changes as business needs require

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per shift
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent bending, twisting, and climbing
