Job description

EMSX Sales Rep, Enterprise Sales - Bloomberg Financial Solutions
Location
New York
Business Area

Ref #
10047798
Description & Requirements
ETS - EMSX Sales
Buy-side and sell-side professionals strive to achieve best execution across multiple asset classes. The Bloomberg Professional Service provides trading solutions and sophisticated analytics to help meet these needs, all on a single platform.
Bloomberg's Electronic Trading Solutions (ETS) platform, powered by our Enterprise Solutions, delivers end-to-end workflows that allow clients to stage, monitor, trade, allocate, and perform TCA on their trades directly from the Bloomberg Terminal. Our solutions integrate seamlessly with clients' Order Management Systems (OMS) and Execution Management Systems (EMS) across asset classes.
What's the role?
We are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial EMSX Sales professional with a strong new business development mindset to expand Bloomberg's footprint across the institutional trading community. This is a true sales role - requiring consistent prospecting, client engagement, pipeline management, and deal execution.
You will play a pivotal role in positioning Bloomberg's EMSX platform as the premier execution management solution for both buy-side and sell-side clients. You'll lead with insight, demonstrating how EMSX integrates seamlessly with the Bloomberg ecosystem to deliver value across pre-trade analytics, liquidity access, automation, portfolio execution, and post-trade insight.
As part of the ETS sales team, you'll identify and convert new opportunities by running the full sales cycle - from discovery and demo through negotiation and close. You'll deliver high-impact presentations, engage senior decision-makers, and partner closely with account management and product stakeholders to drive adoption and growth.
We'll trust you to:
• Drive new business by proactively prospecting, qualifying, and closing new EMS opportunities across hedge funds, asset managers, and other institutional clients.
• Own the full sales cycle - from initial outreach and workflow discovery to live demonstrations, proposal development, and deal closure.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, tracking progress and accurately forecasting opportunities through disciplined CRM and account management.
• Understand client workflows in depth, identify execution pain points, and position Bloomberg's EMS solutions as the optimal fit.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Managers, Product, and Enterprise Sales teams to deliver holistic, enterprise-grade solutions.
• Represent Bloomberg EMSX at client meetings, industry events, and conferences as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert.
You'll need to have:
• Proven success in financial technology or trading system sales, ideally focused on EMS/OMS or execution platforms.
• Strong sales acumen and prospecting discipline, with a demonstrated ability to generate and close new business.
• Deep understanding of multi-asset trading, execution strategies, and market structure across buy-side and sell-side institutions.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, comfortable engaging from trader level to C-suite.
• A consultative and solution-oriented approach, able to translate complex trading workflows into compelling business value.
• High energy, persistence, and accountability for achieving measurable sales results.
