  • Promote consistent approaches across the data lifecycle: ingestion, transformation, storage, distribution, and usage

  • Support teams in adopting practices that improve data quality, usability, and trust

Provide Oversight & Insight

  • Develop metrics and dashboards to provide visibility into data health, adoption of standards, and key issues

  • Support identification and prioritization of data-related risks and improvement opportunities

  • Provide input to leadership to inform prioritization and decision-making

Strengthen Controls & Regulatory Alignment

  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Privacy to ensure data practices align with regulatory and policy expectations

  • Support the design and implementation of practical, scalable controls across the data ecosystem

  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in governance, oversight, and audit readiness

You'll need to have:

  • 8 - 10+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or related roles, ideally in financial services or a data-intensive technology environment

  • Experience building and implementing data standards, frameworks, or governance programs

  • Strong understanding of data as a business asset, including quality, lineage, classification, and usage

  • Proven ability to bring together stakeholders and drive alignment across teams

  • Experience working with engineering, product, and data teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, BCBS 239)

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work across a matrixed organization

  • Solid analytical and program management capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications in data management and governance, such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional)

  • Training or certification in data governance frameworks, metadata management, or data quality management

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development in data, governance, and emerging data practices
