At Bloomberg Finance we are committed to providing world-class support to our business partners by providing insight into business performance, financial oversight and thought leadership.

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support Bloomberg’s Global Sustainability Office (GSO), partnering closely with business areas and senior stakeholders across the organization to drive strategic insight, decision-making, and execution. This role sits at the intersection of finance, ESG strategy, regulation and data, requiring a proactive self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, using financial and commercial acumen to influence outcomes, identify opportunities, and support the continued growth and evolution of Bloomberg’s corporate sustainability initiatives.

We’ll trust you to:
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Global Sustainability Office leadership team, providing insight and challenge to support key business decisions
  • Analyze complex financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering succinct and impactful insights
  • Developing financial models, forecasts, performing due diligence and providing decision support to management for strategic initiatives
  • Develop clear narratives and recommendations for the business, distilling complexity into actionable outcomes
  • Drive initiatives end-to-end, from problem definition through analysis to execution and follow-through
  • Provide transparency and education to the business, in digestible terms and on a timely basis, to improve awareness and engagement around ESG Regulatory requirements and matters
  • Take ownership of ad hoc strategic projects, proactively identifying areas for improvement or growth
  • Operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-moving environments, bringing structure, clarity, and direction
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate sustainability, Controllers, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Facilities, Global Real Estate, and Engineering to ensure alignment and impact
You’ll need to have:
  • 4+ years of financial experience in financial analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
  • Experience partnering with senior business partners to assist in decision making
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data, while succinctly summarizing conclusions for management
  • Ability to identify problems, understand the root cause, make recommendations and drive to a solution
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Superior Microsoft Excel skills (VBA a plus)
  • Team player with ability to deal with changing priorities
We’d love to see:
  • Experience with corporate sustainability initiatives
  • Experience in sustainability regulation and industry guidance
  • High curiosity level and desire to learn
  • Familiarity with the Bloomberg Terminal is useful, but not required
  • Experience with Enterprise software applications e.g. SAP, Oracle
  • Experience with data visualization applications e.g. Tableau or Qlik
  • Experience with automation tools e.g. Alteryx
  • Experience with AI tools e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude

Salary Range = 110,000 - 150,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
