The Company Financials Industries team provides clients with fast and accurate market-moving data-covering broker estimates, financial filings, and other critical datasets that help them assess financial performance. We leverage financial modeling, industry expertise, data management, and technical skills to curate key metrics and extract insights from our data. Our goal is to deliver a best-in-class financial analysis and modeling product while continuously expanding and enhancing our offering.
What's the Role?
As a Senior Data Management Professional on the Company Financials Industries team, you will oversee the data management and analysis of a portfolio of companies. Your work will involve building financial models, designing technical solutions, analyzing company data, defining key metrics, and researching alternative datasets to enhance Bloomberg's financial data products. Your insights will help ensure our products remain best-in-class and fit-for-purpose for our clients.

We'll Trust You To:
  • Own the data coverage, quality, and curation of 15-20 companies across Bloomberg Terminal, financial models, and enterprise data products
  • Perform data profiling and exploratory data analysis to identify and prioritize areas of investments in our data offering
  • Research and productionize advanced data quality solutions by leveraging subject matter expertise and technical acumen
  • Use Python to query, analyze, and automate workflows
  • Analyze industry trends and market-moving events to ensure our datasets reflect relevant, high-value information for clients
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality escalations, collaborating with clients and stakeholders to ensure datasets are fit-for-purpose
  • Develop financial models and apply data-driven insights to enhance product offerings
  • Apply subject matter expertise to support the development of AI/ML automation initiatives
  • Build interconnected data models across Bloomberg's product offering
  • Manage client and internal stakeholder relationships
  • Mentor and train junior team members to strengthen team capabilities

You'll Need To Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business, STEM, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in financial data analysis, equity research, financial modeling, or a related field
  • Strong coding proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and workflow optimization
  • Advanced experience working with Pandas (Python) or dplyr (R)
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, and industry analysis
  • Competency in applied statistics, with emphasis on descriptive statistics and statistical inference
  • Basic knowledge of relational data modelling with a focus on conceptual data model and data normalization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively translate business needs into actionable data solutions
  • Proven ability to support and engage with stakeholders to ensure product success

We'd Love to See:
  • Master's degree or CFA designation (or in progress)
  • Sector-specific expertise and understanding of key industry drivers (buy-side or sell-side equity research experience a plus)
  • Exposure to data management principles, business intelligence tools or quality assurance and control
  • Foundational knowledge of core LLM concepts
  • Experience using Bloomberg Terminal and Company Financials products

Salary Range = 110,000 - 190,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
