Position Summary
Under the supervision of Mobile Field Operations Supervisor or Assistant Director of Donors Services- Mobile, stocks and packs supplies and equipment for mobile blood drives. Cleans equipment and orders and replenishes stock as necessary. Mobile Packer will also prepare blood bags & MCS+ kits for mobile distribution as a secondary responsibility. May also be assigned to prepare blood bags for sub-center when requested.

Responsibilities
  • Stocks and packs supplies and equipment for mobile blood drives.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Must rotate all stock to ensure the late dates are use first
  • Cleans equipment.
  • Orders and replenishes stock.
  • Makes blood bags & MCS+- on a regular basis (8-12- cases weekly).
  • Maintains a clean organized work space.
  • Print Planning Control List for blood drives- No more than 2-3 days in advance of drive.
  • May assist with special projects if time permits
  • Must be able to keep up with schedule changes
  • Must keep latest version of D.S forms in rotation for staff as necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as may be required or designated * Preferred to have a valid driver's license, in order to assist Field Ops with supply related concerns or to retrieve team members from drives if needed.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures

Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma preferred
  • the equivalent preferred
  • cGMP, Customer Service, Discrimination/Sexual Harassment, HIPAA, Introduction to Quality Assurance, HBC Operations Orientation, OSHA Safety Initial and Annual, Q-Pulse and SimpliDigi. required
  • Blood Bag Numbering and other task training as necessary for efficient operations. required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must be able to learn how to pack mobile supplies and assemble blood bags. required
  • Must be able to read, write, and lift. required
