Job description

Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park.
This position is responsible for coordinating and assisting in the cleanliness and appearance of public and back of house spaces throughout the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
  • Maintain the cleanliness of assigned facilities and restrooms after events*
  • Collect and empty trash containers and dispose of trash in proper locations.
  • Restock and maintain inventory of restroom supplies including toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other hygiene products.*
  • Clean up spills that may contain blood borne pathogens. *
  • Assist in maintaining walkway cleanliness in all areas of our venues*
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure proper cleanliness and appearance*

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must be friendly, upbeat, work well with other employees, and be able to interact with our guests
  • Must be capable of working in a team setting and independently
  • Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information
  • Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including days, weekends, and holidays.
  • Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.
  • Must be comfortable with exposure to cleaning chemicals and potential exposure to bodily fluids and other spills
  • Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours, bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, reach above shoulder level, walk up and down stairs without assistance and the ability to push, pull, and lift up to forty-five (45) pounds without assistance
