Education

Roles and Responsibilities
Blockchain Infrastructure Management
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain blockchain nodes and validator infrastructure.
  • Monitor blockchain network health, synchronization status, and transaction throughput.
  • Manage production environments for private, or consortium blockchain platforms.
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and version management of blockchain protocols.

Production Operations & Monitoring
  • Ensure 24/7 availability and reliability of blockchain services.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting systems for blockchain nodes, APIs, wallets, and smart contracts.
  • Analyze logs and metrics to identify performance bottlenecks or operational risks.
  • Handle incident response, root cause analysis, and recovery procedures.

Smart Contract Operations
  • Support deployment and maintenance of smart contracts in production.
  • Monitor smart contract execution, gas usage, and transaction failures.
  • Coordinate rollback and emergency remediation procedures when required.

Security & Compliance
  • Implement security best practices for wallets, keys, nodes, and infrastructure.
  • Manage access controls, secrets management, and encryption mechanisms.
  • Monitor blockchain activity and investigate anomalies.

DevOps & Automation
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for blockchain applications.
  • Automate deployment, scaling, backup, and recovery operations.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for environment provisioning.
  • Improve operational efficiency through scripting and automation.

Performance Optimization
  • Optimize node performance, storage utilization, and network latency.
  • Tune blockchain infrastructure for scalability and high transaction volume.
  • Support load balancing and disaster recovery planning.
  • Conduct capacity planning and forecasting.

Collaboration & Support
  • Work closely with blockchain developers and product teams.
  • Provide technical support for production issues and deployments.
  • Create operational documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and production support activities.

Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, Solana
  • Experience with Linux system administration and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of smart contract technologies such as Solidity, Rust, Web3.js / Ethers.js
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration such as Docker, Kubernetes
  • Monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $121,564 USD Annual to $225,762 Annual USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
