Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the maintenance of the physician panel, negotiating costs with physicians within pre-established guidelines, and onboarding new physicians based on Client needs. This position is a goal and production-based role requiring the recruiter to meet/exceed monthly recruiting targets.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Panel Maintenance

  • Understand Client fee schedules and TAT requirements in order to negotiate physician agreement terms 
  • For existing physicians, assist with maintaining:
    • Physician profile instructions
    • Updated fees
    • Doctor Groups
    • Deactivating/Reactivating physicians
    • W9 remit-to changes
  • Research and conduct outreach when new panel options are needed
  • Onboarding new physicians, including but not limited to:
    • Responsible for the administrative tasks related to the maintenance of the physician panel
    • Onboarding new physicians based on Client needs
    • Negotiating costs/contract terms according to pre-established guidelines
    • Obtaining necessary paperwork, including agreement, application, CV, W9, and NPDB
    • Working with the Network leadership to set the fees for agreements
    • Providing dictation/Access DS instructions as necessary
  • Panel relations with regional panel physicians
    • In-person representation and recruiting 
    • In-person clinic visits to interact with and support block-time physicians
    • Scheduling assistance to support Operations and maximize scheduling capacity

Recruit and manage doctors in regional strategic markets, specifically, doctors to support Washington  L & I clinic IME exam services and surrounding states within the region to ensure the network meets the specific needs of the business relative to the various physician specialties.   

In some cases, address licensing and necessary certifications for doctors willing to allow unilateral recording and commit to blocked days in Dane Street's clinic location(s).  

Conduct in-person recruitment and relationship-management visits with current and prospective panel physicians to support panel growth, engagement, and retention.

Foster long-term partnerships with panel doctors through face-to-face meetings and ongoing field presence.

Sourcing/Fulfillment of Open Service Requests for referrals requiring urgent network recruitment. Requires daily updates on sourcing efforts.

Procure exam locations as necessary and add to Dane Street's database of available resources in target areas for blocked-time doctors.

Other duties & special projects, as assigned and based on business needs. 

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

An Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.  

JOB-RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Physician recruitment experience in a Healthcare/Insurance setting or equivalent transferable skill set.   

Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting is preferred.         

JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Working knowledge of physician networks, recruitment, medical specialties, and terminology.  General knowledge of State and Federal compliance guidelines.  Strong negotiation skills, communication skills, understanding of medical terminology, critical thinking, organizational skills, ability to manage time efficiently, and to meet specific deadlines.   Legal-related industry expertise preferred.  Computer literacy and typing skills required. 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Any lifting, bending, traveling, etc. required to do the job duties listed above.  Long periods of sitting and computer work.

WORK FROM HOME TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Supply and support their own internet services. 

Maintaining an uninterrupted internet connection is a requirement of all work-from-home positions.
