Are you passionate about baking and creating delicious treats? As a Baker II at Turning Stone Enterprises, you'll craft a variety of baked goods for our restaurants and casino events, ensuring every bite is fresh and flavorful. You'll play a key role in maintaining quality, following recipes to perfection, and keeping our bakery running smoothly. From rotating desserts to minimizing waste and operating equipment safely, you'll bring your creativity and attention to detail to every task. What you will do as a Baker II:
  • Consistently prepares various bakery items for all outlets, and Casino events with strong attention to detail.
  • Always takes a proactive approach in ensuring that food handling/quality procedures are accurately and continuously followed and in accordance with F&B procedures.
  • Always maintains constant awareness pertaining to all food products within specified restaurant dessert coolers, and ensures that food items are properly rotated to maintain freshness.
  • Continually assists in maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the kitchen and bakery areas.
  • Continually demonstrates knowledge and exceptional safety standards when operating various kitchen/bakery equipment.
  • Consistently prepares various bakery items to meet the needs of Turning Stone's guests.

Work Experience
To be successful as a Baker II, you'll need:
  • Must be in Baker I position at least 90 days or equivalent experience.
  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma required. A.O.S. degree is preferred.
  • Must possess one year previous Pastry and Baking experience.
  • Ability to make decisions in a stressful environment essential.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Must possess mathematical ability; recipes, cost out cost analysis, etc.
  • Ability to read is essential; standard forms, recipes, daily paperwork.
  • Ability to speak and understand the English language; must continuously communicate with a degree of professionalism and accuracy.
  • Must be able to utilize mixers, dough formers, sheeters, bakery ovens and bagel formers.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Position requires constant bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, standing, walking, simple grasping, manual dexterity, reaching over the shoulder and twisting.
  • Written communication skills essential; reporting and standard forms.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 41 - 50 pounds.
