Job description

Bashor Children's Home is adding to our facilities management team, and we are looking for someone who is motivated to be a part of a team. We are committed to providing a clean and safe environment for our kids, visitors, and staff by managing the 160-acre grounds and buildings that kids reside and learn in.

We are searching for someone with good character and a passion that upholds our mission. This position will require one to work in close proximity to kids, but not in direct contact. Your primary responsibility would be to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment by performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties. You will contribute to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for everyone who interacts with our organization.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be 21 years or older

Able to pass a required background check, physical and drug screen

High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent

Essential Functions:

· Cleaning building entrances, hallways, classrooms, restrooms, and offices

· Vacuuming rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture periodically to remove light soil and dust

· Dust/wipe areas such as windows, blinds, door panels, windowsills, and other wood-workings

· Sweep, scrub, and mop floors

· Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and other janitorial supplies

· Aid in the upkeep of grounds such as plowing, mowing, and removal of trash

· Ability to aid fellow maintenance members with additional functions

Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to stoop, kneel, or crouch

Must be able to hear and speak clearly

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 7am-3:30pm.
