James Blinds Indiana is seeking a skilled, dependable Associate Installer to join our Indianapolis team.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality installation work and wants to build a career in the commercial construction industry. While you will occasionally support broader field functions, the primary focus of this role is executing clean, efficient, and professional installations.

Candidates with window treatment experience or transferable commercial construction experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Summary

As an Associate Installer, you will be responsible for installing commercial window treatment systems with precision and consistency. You will work both independently and alongside team members to deliver high-quality results on active job sites.


Responsibilities
  • Install commercial blinds, shades, and related window treatment systems
  • Execute installations efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, elevations, and manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding project status
  • Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols
  • Assist with material handling and jobsite setup as needed
  • Support field functions such as measurements or punch work when required
  • Travel to out-of-state projects as needed

  • Strong hand and power tool proficiency required
  • Window treatment or similar installation experience preferred
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately and work with precision
  • Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Reliable transportation to/from Indianapolis office
  • Willingness and ability to travel out of state as project needs require

Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Work on ladders and scaffolding at varying heights
  • Bend, kneel, stand, and perform physical work throughout the day
