Leadman and Associates LLC

Indianapolis, IN

Full-time

Posted 11 days ago

Job description

Leadman & Associatesis partnering on an exclusive search for a Metal Fabricator (Windows, Doors & Framing Systems) (Fire-Rated Systems) to support the launch and ramp-up of a new U.S. manufacturing operation in Indianapolis.

This role is built for a hands-on fabrication professional with 1–2+ years of metal fabrication experience who is looking to grow their skillset and be part of building operations from the ground up.

If you have experience working with window frames, door frames, or general metal fabrication, and want to expand into specialized systems like fire-rated assemblies and ceramic glass processing, this is a strong opportunity to grow with the business.

Location: Indianapolis, IN | Onsite | Local candidates only (no relocation)

Why You Should Consider This Opportunity

Ground-Floor Build: Be part of launching a new manufacturing operation from day one

Clear Growth Path: Opporunity to grow into a lead or supervisory role over time

Skill Expansion: Learn ceramic glass cutting as a new business line launches (June 2026) — no prior experience required

High Impact Role: Direct influence on production, quality, and how the operation scales

Stable Industry: Fire-rated systems are essential in commercial construction (healthcare, education, institutional)

In This Role, You Will

Aluminum / Metal Fabrication (Primary Focus)

  • Cut, machine, drill, and assemble aluminum or metal components for doors, windows, and framing systems

  • Fabricate frames and components based on shop drawings and specifications

  • Install hardware, brackets, and anchors as required

Support New Production Launches

  • Help bring aluminum fabrication online (target start: May)

  • Support rollout of ceramic glass cutting operations (target start: June 2026)

  • Learn glass cutting and handling processes over time (training provided)

Precision & Compliance

  • Fabricate components to strict tolerances aligned with fire-rated system requirements

  • Follow detailed fabrication processes tied to certified assemblies

Equipment Operation

  • Operate fabrication equipment including saws, drill presses, punch machines, and related tools

  • Support safe operation of new equipment as it is installed and ramped up

Quality & Safety

  • Inspect materials and finished components for accuracy and defects

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Follow OSHA and company safety standards

Team & Growth Contribution

  • Support onboarding and training of future hires as the team grows

  • Contribute to improving processes and workflows in a startup-like environment

What You Bring to the Table

  • 1–2+ years of experience in metal fabrication, including:

    • Aluminum fabrication

    • Window or door frame fabrication

    • Or similar hands-on fabrication work

  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication prints

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with fabrication equipment

  • High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment

Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Experience with architectural framing or glazing systems

  • Experience handling or cutting glass

  • Exposure to fire-rated systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods

  • Ability to safely handle large materials (glass sheets, aluminum extrusions)

Why This Role Stands Out

This is not a plug-and-play role.

You'll be part of launching new production capabilities, helping establish processes, and contributing to how the operation grows from the ground up.

You don't need to know everything on day one.

What matters most is your fabrication experience, work ethic, and willingness to step into an environment where you can learn quickly and grow into more responsibility over time.

Compensation

  • Srong base salary

  • Bonus: ~10% tied to production and company performance

  • Long-term growth potential into higher-earning leadership roles (~$100K+ over time)
