Job description

Blender Operator - 2nd shift

  • Report to the Production floor in a timely manner for shift start and dress in the proper PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Meet with 1st shift Blender Operator to discuss issues that need to be addressed or any updates
  • Review and verify blend sheets and check all meat and spices against written formula
  • Verify meat weight and type
  • Follow blending procedures as outlined in production formulation
  • Document all process and productivity information
  • Enter information on the MES system and report any problems
  • When wash downs are required perform lockout/tagout and complete wash down of blender and make the next blend in a timely manner
  • Stop production line as needed to seek immediate attention to correct any problems
  • Keep area clean, sanitary, and follow safety work practices such as and GMP’s
  • Assist team in dismantling and assembling equipment
  • Meet with the supervisor at the end of the day
  • Be willing to be cross trained within department to cover responsibilities if required
  • Other duties as assigned
