BizFirst is assisting our client with recruiting a full-time Program Manager to support a high-impact federal financial transformation initiative in Washington, DC. Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs professionals with niche expertise to help the federal government execute strategic initiatives, optimize financial processes, modernize IT systems, and implement Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions.

What will you do

In this role, you will serve as a Program Manager for a DoD agency\'s financial modernization efforts. You will provide programmatic oversight of ERP and enterprise system migration activities, direct stakeholder engagement strategies, and drive compliance with federal audit and reporting standards. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing Agile teams, leading transformation efforts in government environments, and aligning technology solutions with mission-critical outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee federal financial transformation programs involving ERP systems such as DAI
  • Manage enterprise migration efforts (e.g., EPM/Hyperion), including stakeholder engagement, fit-gap analysis, and risk mitigation
  • Coordinate across functional teams to align project activities with financial reporting requirements and audit readiness (OMB A-136, SFFAS)
  • Apply Agile delivery methodologies and ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 quality standards
  • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Power BI for status tracking, milestone management, and deliverable oversight
  • Collaborate with DCAA and DFAS stakeholders and operate within platforms such as ADVANA, QDD, and SharePoint automation environments
  • Develop, implement, and report against program metrics, milestones, and performance benchmarks
  • Provide strategic advice to senior government stakeholders and guide change management efforts across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with federal internal controls and participate in audit readiness reviews and remediation planning
  • Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and presentations to senior leadership
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in program or project management, with a focus on financial oversight and asset management
  • Proven success managing large-scale transformation efforts within federal financial
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., DAI), enterprise platforms (e.g., Hyperion)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead Agile teams and enforce quality assurance standards such as ISO 9001:2015
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
