Job description

You are responsible for transporting dogs to and from our client's homes in a safe and timely manner by following all special instructions. You are expected to report your progress and any relevant information to the location no less than every 30 minutes. You are also expected to keep the vehicles in good condition at all times. You must be able to exercise significant discretion and independent judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transporting dogs in a timely and safe manner to and from our facilities
  • Communicating and reporting all relevant information to the location(s) in a timely manner
  • Adhere to all local traffic laws
  • Following and executing all special instructions
  • Ensuring the vehicle is cleaned and disinfected after each shift
  • Moving materials, supplies, and equipment between locations
  • Ability to work other positions as needed (dog handler, dog walker, etc) 
  • Report to locations and help with the following:
    • Walking Dogs
    • Helping in the play area
    • Getting dogs to and from transport
    • Walking dogs home instead of transporting them by van (if needed)

Performance Metrics:

  • On-time transportation rate
  • Number of incidents
  • Frequency of incidents reported to Manager
  • Cleanliness of the vehicle
  • Customer loyalty ratings
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • CDL is not required, but an asset.
  • Clean driving record .
  • Minimum of one year of professional driving experience in New York City.
  • Comfortable with dogs of all breeds and sizes.
  • Knowledge of Biscuits & Bath and a genuine interest in the well-being of dogs.
  • Must be physically fit to lift dogs 50+ lbs, climb stairs and perform the requirements of the job.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
