Salary:  $85,000-90,000/ Annum Max.

Location: Eagan,MN


Required Technical Skills: Must have at least more than 5 years of proven ability maintaining corporate enterprise Exchange environment and capabilities in the following technical areas:

  1. Proven experience in understanding and troubleshooting an enterprise messaging system comprised of large-scale Exchange 2007/2010 mailbox servers, integrated CAS/Hub servers, Public Folder servers, and SMTP Internet Gateway servers located in virtual, physical, and/or clustered environment.
  2. Knowledgeable in maintaining and troubleshooting issues pertaining to databases and transaction logs prior to any outages
  3. Good knowledge of Powershell commands and how to perform non-GUI tasks
  4.  Exchange Server Management
    1. Responsible for day-to-day management of Exchange Servers
    2. Ensure backup and restore capabilities for all Exchange Servers
    3. Ensure disaster recovery plan is updated and practice of Exchange recovery is performed on a defined regular basis
    4. Responsible for ensuring audit capabilities and assisting forensic initiatives
    5. Responsible for statistics gathering relating to performance and metrics
  5. Responsible for monitoring event logs through alerting and visual inspection and resolving issues prior to any outage or performance issue
  6. Understands the ActiveSync environment, PKI certificates used,  and the ISA front-end with ability to troubleshoot all issues
  7. Understands OWA environment including load balanced CAS servers and PKI certificates used
  8. Ensures required alerting and monitoring are in place based on SLA's and previous PBI requirements
  9. Expert knowledge of Exchange Management Console and capabilities including:
    1. Ability to track and isolate delivery issues
    2. Ability to isolate and resolve queue issues
  10. Knowledge of SMTP Internet basics as it relates to configuration and support (blacklists, whitelists, recipient lookups, message tracking, statistics gathering, etc.)
  11. Understanding and capability to determine health of Exchange servers through the use of standard tools such as (ExBPA, ExTRA, PerfMon, Database Recovery Management, Database Troubleshooter, Netmon, etc.)
  12. Responsible for running and analyzing historical performance benchmarks of core Exchange servers for the purpose of isolating application/platform issues
