Role Overview
Jade Biosciences is seeking a Director, Investor Relations to help build and execute a high caliber investor relations function for a publicly traded biotechnology company. The Director will play a central role in communicating Jade's strategy, pipeline, scientific rationale, clinical development progress, financial position, and value proposition to a primarily investor audience, including institutional investors, sell-side analysts, bankers, and other capital markets stakeholders.
This role requires a strong understanding of biotechnology equity markets, clinical-stage company strategy, and investor-facing communications. The ideal candidate will be able to translate complex scientific, clinical, regulatory, and financial information into clear, credible, and compelling messaging for sophisticated external audiences. Former sell-side biotechnology research professionals are encouraged to apply, including candidates who served as research associates supporting biotechnology or healthcare coverage.
This is a remote role reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and will require periodic travel for investor conferences, investor roadshows, medical and scientific meetings, company meetings, and Board or leadership events.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and execution of Jade's investor relations strategy in partnership with the CFO, CEO, and senior leadership team.
  • Develop and refine investor messaging, Q&A, presentation materials, SEC filings, earnings or corporate update materials, investor conference materials, and other external communications.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for investors and sell-side analysts, helping ensure timely, accurate, consistent, and Regulation FD-compliant communications.
  • Translate complex scientific, clinical, regulatory, competitive, and financial information into clear investor-facing narratives tailored to public market audiences.
  • Monitor investor sentiment, analyst commentary, trading dynamics, peer company disclosures, competitive developments, sector trends, and relevant clinical or regulatory catalysts.
  • Prepare briefing materials for executive leadership ahead of investor meetings, conferences, roadshows, analyst calls, and other external engagements.
  • Help maintain and enhance the company's investor materials, including the corporate presentation, investor website content, fact sheets, event calendars, and FAQ documents.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Medical, Corporate Communications, and external advisors to ensure alignment of investor communications.
  • Assist with quarterly reporting processes, including call preparation, scripts, press releases, Q&A preparation, and post-call investor feedback synthesis.
  • Support capital markets activities, investor targeting, ownership analysis, conference strategy, and engagement planning in partnership with external IR, banking, and legal advisors, as appropriate.
  • Develop concise summaries of investor feedback, market perception, and emerging questions for the leadership team and Board of Directors.
  • Maintain strong command of Jade's programs, target indications, competitive landscape, upcoming milestones, and key investor diligence topics.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a scientific, medical, business, finance, or related field preferred.
  • At least 10 years of related experience with 5 to 8+ years of relevant experience in biotechnology investor relations, sell-side equity research, investment banking, corporate strategy, business development, corporate communications, or a related capital markets role.
  • Prior experience as a sell-side biotechnology or healthcare research associate, or comparable experience developing public equity research, investor materials, or clinical-stage company analysis, is highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of public biotechnology company dynamics, including clinical development milestones, regulatory pathways, financing strategy, investor expectations, peer benchmarking, and disclosure considerations.
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated scientific and clinical concepts clearly to institutional investors and analysts, while maintaining scientific accuracy and appropriate caveats.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to create polished investor-facing materials, briefing documents, Q&A, and executive talking points.
  • High attention to detail, strong judgment, discretion with confidential information, and comfort operating in a fast-paced public company environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to interpret clinical data, financial information, ownership data, analyst reports, and market feedback.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and low-ego working style with the ability to partner effectively across scientific, clinical, finance, legal, and executive functions.
  • Familiarity with Regulation FD and public company disclosure practices preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, investor databases, and market intelligence tools; familiarity with FactSet, CapIQ, Bloomberg, Visible Alpha, Ipreo, AlphaSense, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for investor conferences, roadshows, company meetings, and other business needs.
