Job description

Full Time - Hybrid / Remote San Francisco (USA)

About Katalyze AI

Katalyze AI is a fast-growing AI-driven biotech platform company on a mission to make life-saving drugs accessible and affordable for everyone. Our AI Agents help pharmaceutical and biotech companies increase production efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste. We're a team of humble, fast-moving, and curious craftspeople working at the intersection of science and AI.

About the Role

We're looking for a Head of Product to own and drive the product vision for Katalyze AI's platform. This is a hands-on leadership role โ€” you'll be deeply involved in discovery, strategy, and execution. You'll work closely with engineering, data science, and our customers (biomanufacturing teams at pharma and biotech companies) to ship products that solve real operational problems in regulated environments.

What You'll Do

Define and own the product roadmap across the Katalyze platform, including our core data integration layer, context layer, AI modules, and AI agents.

Lead product discovery: talk to customers, analyze usage data, and identify high-impact opportunities in biomanufacturing workflows

Partner closely with engineering and data science to scope, prioritize, and deliver features on a rapid cadence

Translate complex domain requirements (GMP compliance) into clear product specs and user stories

Drive go-to-market strategy alongside sales and marketing for new product launches and feature releases

Establish and track product KPIs โ€” adoption, activation, retention, and customer outcomes like yield improvement and cycle time reduction

Represent the voice of the customer internally; build feedback loops that keep the team close to real user pain points

Contribute to the company strategy as a member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO

What We're Looking For

6โ€“10+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead PM role

Experience building B2B SaaS products, ideally platforms with data integration, analytics, or AI/ML components

Comfort operating in a regulated industry (pharma, biotech, life sciences, healthcare) or a strong willingness to learn the domain quickly

Track record of shipping products from 0โ†’1 and iterating on existing products based on data and customer feedback

Strong technical fluency โ€” you can have deep conversations with engineers and data scientists about architecture, models, and trade-offs

Experience managing or mentoring other PMs

Excellent communication skills โ€” you can articulate product vision to the C-suite, present to enterprise customers, and write crisp PRDs

Startup mindset โ€” comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and wearing multiple hats

Nice to Have

Background in biomanufacturing, bioprocess engineering, or life sciences

Experience with data platforms, digital twins, or document intelligence products

Familiarity with Snowflake, data cloud architectures, or enterprise data infrastructure

Experience selling into or building for GMP-regulated environments
