In this key role as a member of the US Business Development team, you will be responsible for selling Rentschler's portfolio of development and manufacturing services to biotech and pharmaceutical companies to contribute to the company's market share growth. This role reports to the Head of Business Development, US.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities resulting in acquisition of new clients for Rentschler's US and EU facilities.
  • Convey Rentschler's value proposition and capabilities effectively to prospective clients
  • Solicit requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), requests for quotations (RFQs), from existing and prospective clients.
  • Drive the sales process from initial client contact to contract execution.
  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve annual sales targets
  • Contribute to company revenue and market share growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (technical, legal, marketing) within the organization to deliver solutions for clients
  • Initiate and coordinate customer site visits with functional departments
  • Utilize designated CRM to track and follow up on all client leads,
  • Represent the company at local conferences
  • Build a collaborative working relationship with cross-functional peers to advance client acquisition

Education and Qualifications
  • Strong sales/business development performance
  • A bachelor's degree in Life Sciences
  • 10+ years sales experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry (cell culture preferred).
  • An established network within the biopharmaceutical sector is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, business objects, required
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25-40% (international and domestic)

Base Pay Range
$180,000 - $210,000
