A Biometric Screening RN is a registered nurse who conducts health screenings to assess individuals’ risk for chronic conditions. They measure vital health indicators such as blood pressure, cholesterol levels, glucose levels, height, weight, and body mass index (BMI). Their role is to educate participants on their health metrics and provide guidance on maintaining or improving overall health. A typical day for a Biometric Screening RN involves setting up and conducting health screenings, such as blood pressure checks, BMI measurements, and cholesterol testing, either at client sites or special events. Collaboration with other nurses, wellness coordinators, and administrative staff is common to ensure smooth event logistics.
