What is a Biometric Screening RN job?

A Biometric Screening RN is a registered nurse who conducts health screenings to assess individuals’ risk for chronic conditions. They measure vital health indicators such as blood pressure, cholesterol levels, glucose levels, height, weight, and body mass index (BMI). To thrive as a Biometric Screening RN, you need an active RN license, strong clinical assessment skills, and experience with health screenings. Familiarity with biometric equipment, electronic health record systems, and knowledge of HIPAA regulations is often required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, organization, and the ability to educate and motivate individuals about their health make candidates stand out. These skills ensure accurate screenings, patient confidentiality, and a positive experience for participants in corporate or community health settings.
