Job Description:
Position Summary:
This faculty role centers on clinical teaching and direct patient care, with a strong emphasis on mentoring residents in a collaborative, evidence-based learning environment. The successful candidate will integrate biomedical sciences into clinical instruction, utilize mastery learning techniques, and contribute to the advancement of dental education through innovation and technology. Located in South Jordan, UT, this position offers the opportunity to shape future dental professionals while serving diverse communities in alignment with Roseman's mission of excellence and impact in healthcare.
Essential Functions:
  • Clinical teaching utilizing a proactive and engaged learning model.
  • Didactic teaching utilizing Mastery Learning.
  • Utilize evidence-based science in didactic and clinical teaching.
  • Integrate Biomedical Science in didactic and clinical teaching.
  • Overseeing and providing patient care as needed in the College's clinics.
  • Manage and assess resident progress toward competency.
  • Required to be standardized in Clinic operation and approved treatment modalities.
  • Acquire certification in applicable specialty areas within one year.
  • Adapt to current and future technologies (i.e., digital impressions, input of patient data) utilized at the CODM.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of clinical activities, student/resident evaluations, and patient care in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:
  • DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US or Canadian dental school or equivalent.
  • Must be eligible for licensure in Utah at the time of application and receive licensure within 3 months of hire.
