Job description
- Nationwide travel to customer locations, up to 1 month at a time, including overnights and weekends.
- Perform routine and complex work related to the calibration and repair of biomedical and general-purpose measuring and test equipment (M amp;TE), in the fields of electrical, electronic, DC-Low Frequency, RF, pressure, temperature, flow, force, mass and other Metrology disciplines.
- Effectively use software, and automation systems as required in performance of assigned duties.
- Perform work in accordance with established processes and procedures.
- Ensure daily work is conducted in accordance with company policies concerning quality, ethics, integrity, and standards of business conduct.
- Report to company onsite calibration lab, in St. Charles, MO, when not dispatched to customer locations.
- Promote the safety of self, fellow employees, customers, and the environment.
- Experience with electronics, repair and/or calibration of general-purpose Measuring and Test Equipment (M amp;TE)
- Ability to function independently and in various customer environments.
- Must meet the requirements to drive a company vehicle
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean MVR
- Must be able to drive extended distances in all types of weather and terrain.
- Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds unassisted.
- Associate’s degree from college or technical school in Metrology, Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Technician (BMET), Instrumentation Technology.
- Military (DoD) transferable training in PMEL, TMDE, PME, Calibration, Metrology.
- Experience in Electrical, Temperature, Pressure, and Flow calibrations preferred.
- Proven work experience in calibration of measuring and testing equipment preferred.
- Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
- Access to a company van and all equipment/tools needed to perform calibrations.
