We are currently looking for a Technician on the night shift who will be responsible for providing technical support mainly for electrical tests in addition to production operations the rest of the time.

This hybrid position will allow the technician to carry out both production and support production.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment;

Production support:

  • Support electrical testing processes for silicon and III-V products: chips on ceramic, post-assembly, pre-sealing
  • Understand the underlying processes that can affect the performance of electrical tests (wafer manufacturing, chip processing, product assembly) for any possible problem study and resolution;
  • Document processes to guarantee their stability;
  • Train and provide support to production staff;
  • Work as a team to resolve process problems;
  • Report and document problems related to processes or equipment failures. Take the required corrective and preventive measures;
  • Perform other related tasks as required.

Production :

  • Prepare mechanical and electrical jigs and optical setups to support and test components.
  • Perform specified electrical, optical and environmental tests on equipment (computer-assisted if necessary) following required procedures.
  • Prepare and record performance data on appropriate forms and on the computer.
  • Report difficulties and malfunctions or deviations from workflows.
  • Prepare daily reports as required.

Your qualifications:

  • Has a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in physics, electronics engineering or related field / equivalent experience;
  • 3 years experience with tests
  • Has experience in setting up electrical testing processes, an asset;
  • Knowledge of processes and equipment for testing photodiodes, laser diodes or other electronic components;
  • Knowledge of Labview and Visual Basic programming language, an asset
  • Knowledge of optics, an asset;
  • Perfectly mastered French (written and spoken) and good ability to communicate in English (written and spoken).
