Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Field Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair a variety of medical equipment. This role supports healthcare professionals by ensuring equipment operates safely and according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, installations, repairs, calibrations, adjustments, and safety testing on medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer standards
  • Service physiotherapy, sterilization, and patient monitoring equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing-related issues
  • Maintain accurate service records and client inventory within the computerized maintenance management system
  • Investigate safety issues and equipment incidents and assist with corrective actions
  • Review technical manuals, engineering drawings, and servicing requirements
  • Use testing and calibration equipment to complete servicing activities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with clients and team members
  • Complete reports, technical documentation, shipping documents, and required paperwork on time
  • Participate in training to stay current with codes, standards, and best practices
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Biomedical Technology or equivalent
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including CSA standards
  • Ability to travel locally for service calls as needed
  • Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Membership with OACETT is considered an asset

Nous recherchons un(e) technicien(ne) biomédical(e) qualifié(e) pour assurer l’entretien, le diagnostic, l’étalonnage et la réparation d’équipements médicaux variés afin d’assurer leur fonctionnement sécuritaire et optimal.
Responsabilités
  • Effectuer l’entretien, l’installation, les réparations, les ajustements, les étalonnages et les vérifications de sécurité des équipements
  • Travailler sur des équipements de physiothérapie, de stérilisation et de surveillance des patients
  • Diagnostiquer les pannes et effectuer les réparations requises
  • Effectuer des réparations mineures sur des systèmes électriques, mécaniques, pneumatiques et hydrauliques
  • Maintenir à jour les dossiers dans le système de gestion de maintenance
  • Participer à l’analyse des incidents et à la mise en place de mesures correctives
  • Consulter les manuels techniques et la documentation des fabricants
  • Utiliser des équipements spécialisés de test et d’étalonnage
  • Lire et interpréter des plans, schémas et spécifications techniques
  • Offrir un excellent service à la clientèle
  • Compléter les rapports techniques et la documentation requise dans les délais
Exigences
  • Diplôme en technologie du génie électronique ou domaine connexe
  • Expérience en réparation et entretien d’équipements électroniques et mécaniques
  • Capacité à lire des plans, schémas électriques et diagrammes
  • Excellentes aptitudes en résolution de problèmes, communication et organisation
  • Connaissance des normes applicables, notamment CSA
  • Disponibilité pour des déplacements selon les besoins du service
  • Permis de conduire valide (classe 5 au Québec)
  • Capacité à soulever des charges jusqu’à 23 kg (50 lb)
  • L’adhésion à l’OACETT constitue un atout
