Job description

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Person whose main functions are to carry out the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, verification, repair, calibration, construction, maintenance and modification of biomedical electronic equipment. He/she makes the necessary recommendations for their proper functioning, including their safety aspect. He/she may also, if necessary, perform similar tasks on industrial electronic equipment. It covers all the establishment's services.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
Person whose main function, within the Material Resources Department (MRD), is to purchase and receive the equipment, supervise the installation and be part of the commissioning of that equipment. This also includes documentation and transfer to operations.

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Must hold a college diploma (DEC) in an electronics technique such as electronics technologies, computer systems technologies or industrial electronics technologies from a school recognized by the competent ministry.

Experience:
• Two (2) years of relevant professional experience.

Knowledge and Abilities:
• Good manual skills and dexterity;
• Meticulousness, precision and attention to details;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Analytical;
• Autonomy, initiative and judgment;
• Ability to work in collaboration with all colleagues and external partners;
• Relevant knowledge in computer;
• Knowledge of Cree culture, language, and social/health issues in Eeyou Istchee is an asset;

LANGUAGE
• Fluent in English and French;
• Fluency in Cree is an asset.

OTHER
• Available to travel inside and outside of the Eeyou Istchee territory as required;
• Possibility of telework.
This position offers the possibility of telework, depending on operational needs and after agreement with the employer. Please note that this is not a permanent condition of the position and the employer reserves the right to request regular physical presence in the office.
