Cartilage Account Manager (Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Des Moines)

The Business Development Manager, Cartilage is responsible for exceeding sales/case volume objectives and growing the Sports Medicine Biologics business, specifically the cartilage repair portfolio, within their assigned Area, by driving increased usage and new customer conversions. Reporting to a Director of Sales, the Business Development Manager, requires the ability to assimilate and deliver a high level of technical information as it relates to Biologics products. This role also serves as a leader of Biologics for sports medicine in the capacity of product matter expert, trainer, and mentor to other sales personnel (BAM, BAR, ASRs, ESRs).
What will you be doing?
Achieve/exceed cartilage repair product sales quotas, drive growth by acquiring new customers and identifying Biologics opportunities. Provide surgical support, deliver accurate Biologics forecasts, and represent the cartilage portfolio at industry events. Collaborate with DOS and Medical Education on surgeon education plans.
Maximize Biologics opportunities by collaborating with S+N counterparts, ensuring clear communication with SPMD counterparts, and engaging in efficient selling practices at the district/territory level.
Adhere to training modules and expense reporting, manage Region-specific workday objectives, and complete required training and certifications on time

You will also develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet/exceed your quota.

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Business, Marketing, or Biology strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years direct sales experience with 4 years in medical device industry preferred Cartilage experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in orthopedics (sports medicine or knee reconstruction) in hospital/ASC environments, including surgeons, nursing, administration, facilities, bio-med and information systems required.
  • Proven track record of yearly quota achievement, skilled in complex sales, and adept at selling to teams of buyers and multiple decision-makers in a medical setting

Travel Requirements:
within designated sales territory with 50-70% travel, depending on the geography of the territory. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences
All field sales professionals who are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform the basic remit of their role must successfully complete the credentialing process and comply with the requirements of those facilities they support, which can include adherence to any established vaccine protocol.
The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $100,000 USD annually.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, and geographic location.
Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
In addition to base pay, the candidate is eligible for sales commission, incentives and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, parental leave, generous PTO, paid company holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time annually, and a variety of wellness offerings such as EAP.
