Job description

Overview

In this role as a Engineering Technician II for our Bio-Rad Woodinville, WA location, you will:

  • Possess skills and experience to help solve technical problems.
  • Support manufacturing engineers with moderate guidance and direction.
  • Have strong working knowledge of specific processes to be supported.
  • Frequently address problems and recommend possible alternatives. Recommend course of action based on knowledge, experience and company goals.
  • Successfully complete small projects with low to moderate complexity with minimal guidance.
  •  

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Execute engineering projects from end to end with minimal guidance and support.
  • Assist with PMs (preventative maintenance), equipment service, and installation.
  • Diagnose root cause of malfunction and perform maintenance on electronic or operational equipment.
  • Maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, reassemble or replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry, electronic components or other equipment.
  •  

What You Bring:

  • Two-year degree or college courses or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
  • 5+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (ex. pharma, medical device, life sciences).
  • CAD experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PLCs (programmable logical controller) preferred. Hands-on experience in automating production lines is highly desirable.

Location: This position must be based in Woodinville, Washington and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation: The estimated hourly rate for this position is $36.97 to $ 50.82 at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of the offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon the achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
