Position Overview

We are seeking a Account Manager to be responsible for the daily servicing of a book of business on assigned accounts with direct accountability for client satisfaction and retention. Responsibilities include client and carrier relationship management, policy related service, accounts receivable management and file management. The role requires the coordination of multiple tasks to meet various deadlines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial lines clients, developing strong relationships and ensuring their insurance needs are met.
  • Handle the full policy lifecycle, including renewals, endorsements, audits, and cancellations.
  • Evaluate clientsโ€™ risk exposures and provide tailored coverage recommendations.
  • Collaborate with carriers to secure the most competitive coverage solutions, negotiate terms, and present proposals
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products to meet clientsโ€™ evolving needs.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and carriers, resolving claims, billing, and coverage issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, ensure adherence to company and regulatory guidelines, and document all client interactions in Applied Epic.
Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of experience in commercial lines account management, preferably within an independent insurance agency.
  • Proficiency in Applied Epic is required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and industry regulations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required. Industry certifications (e.g., CIC, CPCU, CRM) are a plus.
