Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • 2+ years billing, accounting, or office experience required.
  • Transportation industry experience preferred.
  • Must be possess exceptional Excel skills.
  • Must be able to run and maintain query and sequel reports.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills. Must be able to read contracts.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates' degree preferred.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Accurately and efficiently rate and bill customers in accordance with customer specifications by fully understanding and executing the complexities and analysis associated with dedicated requirements as well as achieving the time frames directed by customers and/or KNX.

  • Perform timely and accurate billing of dedicated accounts in accordance with customer requirements as stated in their contracts.
  • Communicate with on-site operations personnel to ensure that all required information is obtained prior to customers' deadlines for completing invoicing.
  • Verify and interpret dedicated contracts to ensure rates and accessorial items applied to invoicing are current and accurate for dedicated invoicing templates.
  • Utilize and differentiate among the various File Transfer Protocol (FTP) formats depending on customer specifications.
  • Identify and proactively correct and avoid errors on weekly billings.
  • Revise and update dedicated billing account instructions for each account, including charges, accessorial and/or special instructions in order to facilitate effective and efficient billing of accounts within your portfolio when absent.
  • Correct and re-transmit any rejected Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) invoices as identified.
  • Update management with billing queue status as appropriate.
  • Initiate and communicate with management and IT personnel, ideas for process improvements and change fleet reporting as necessary.
  • Continuously participate as a team member in order to maximize department results including performing duties of Billing Representatives as needed.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
