The anticipated hiring range is $68,293 - $78,000 and will be commensurate with education and experience. The role will be located on the Glenns campus with requirements to occasionally travel to the Warsaw campus. This is an immediate appointment.

The college strives for a faculty of content experts who are also knowledgeable about best practices and innovative strategies that support teaching and learning.
Rappahannock Community College is seeking a collaborative, flexible, organized, and user-focused Librarian with a demonstrated interest in teaching and learning. The Librarian reports to the Coordinator of Learning Resources and is responsible for supporting the full services provided by the RCC Learning Resource Centers and the Richmond County Public Library (RCPL). The successful candidate will:
  • Work collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty across all campuses and sites to support student success and other initiatives related to RCC
  • Provide reference and customer service support to college and community library patrons
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining electronic resources
  • Provide research assistance and library instruction
  • Assist in training, scheduling and providing guidance to tutors
  • Serve on college and other committees as requested.

The Librarian must be comfortable with change and a rapidly changing technological environment. This position will maintain a schedule at both campuses, which may include evenings and weekends. Finalists will be asked to complete a presentation.
