Bilingual Interviewer / ESL Coordinator (English/Spanish)


Overview

MAU is seeking a Bilingual Interviewer / ESL Coordinator to support recruitment and onboarding for a key client in the Upstate. In this role, you will screen and interview candidates, coordinate hiring activities, and provide bilingual (English/Spanish) support throughout the hiring process.

Youโ€™ll play a key role in delivering a positive candidate experience by guiding applicants through interviews, orientations, and onboardingโ€”while ensuring accurate communication and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Interviewing

  • Screen and pre-qualify applicants using staffing software based on client hiring requirements
  • Conduct bilingual (English/Spanish) behavioral-based interviews
  • Translate interview notes and candidate documentation into English within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Administer and evaluate candidate assessments in partnership with Staffing Specialists
  • Source candidates through job boards, company website, and other recruiting channels


Candidate Coordination & Support

  • Schedule and manage interviews, orientations, and assessments
  • Communicate job offers and coordinate orientation scheduling for ESL candidates
  • Manage candidate pipelines and maintain accurate records
  • Respond to candidate inquiries and provide timely follow-up


ESL Program Support

  • Conduct and translate ESL orientations
  • Provide in-person and phone interpretation support for workplace communications (e.g., coaching, disciplinary discussions, terminations)
  • Assist ESL candidates during onboarding processes, including medical appointments and required paperwork
  • Coordinate and track candidate progress for pre-employment requirements


Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain daily interview schedules and ensure adherence to hiring timelines
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate applicant records
  • Support front desk and receptionist duties as needed
  • Ensure compliance with MAU policies and employment regulations
  • Partner with internal teams to support hiring goals and resolve issues


Client & Compliance Support

  • Collaborate with client teams and represent MAU professionally
  • Maintain knowledge of job requirements and client expectations
  • Follow all safety guidelines and participate in required training
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal employment regulations

Work Environment

This role is based in a professional office setting with occasional time spent at client locations, including manufacturing environments. Conditions may vary from standard office settings to non-climate-controlled or cleanroom environments.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk and climb stairs as needed
