Job description

The position is located onsite in Lansing, MI but relocation is an option for the right candidate.
This role serves as a strategic HR partner supporting both manufacturing and corporate teams. The HR Professional works closely with leadership to drive HR initiatives that improve business performance, employee experience, and key HR metrics, while also acting as a change agent within the organization. This is a hands-on, strategic HR role focused on partnering with leadership, improving employee relations and performance, and driving organizational effectiveness across both plant and office settings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advising and coaching leaders on employee relations, performance management, and organizational decisions
  • Investigating and resolving complex workplace issues
  • Managing workforce planning (headcount gaps, turnover analysis) and partnering on solutions
  • Supporting performance processes such as evaluations, corrective actions, and goal setting
  • Interpreting and improving HR policies, practices, and procedures
  • Driving engagement and culture initiatives based on employee feedback and trends
  • Training supervisors and supporting HR program implementation
  • Maintaining a strong presence on the production floor to build relationships and understand operations
  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws and workplace standards

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • HR certification preferred
  • Strong communication, coaching, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
