What is a Big Adventure?

A 'Big Adventure' job typically refers to roles that involve travel, exploration, or unique experiences beyond traditional office work. These jobs can include adventure tour guides, travel writers, expedition leaders, or positions with organizations focused on outdoor activities and adventure tourism. People in these roles often work in dynamic environments, leading groups, planning excursions, and ensuring safety while providing educational or entertaining experiences. Such jobs require adaptability, a passion for adventure, and strong interpersonal skills.

Guides must remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively with participants of varying skill levels. They also need to be proactive in risk assessment and skilled at problem-solving, all while maintaining a positive and engaging atmosphere for guests.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Big Adventure, and why are they important?
