THE ROLE
As a Bike Shop Mechanic, you'll maintain, repair, and build bicycles used by guests and team members across our adventure programs. You'll ensure every ride is safe, smooth, and reliable-supporting both the spirit of adventure and the standard of hospitality that defines IRHG.
What we will ask of you:
  • Perform maintenance, tune-ups, and repairs on all types of bicycles.
  • Assemble and inspect new bikes for quality and safety.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Maintain shop inventory and order parts as needed.
  • Support guests and team members with gear setup, fittings, and recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Occasionally assist with guided rides or outdoor events as needed.

Requirements for Success:
  • 2+ years of experience in bicycle maintenance or equivalent technical training.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with modern bike components.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both guests and team members.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Availability to work weekends and peak outdoor seasons.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for small parts and precise mechanical work.
  • Comfort working in both shop and outdoor environments.
