Job description

SUMMARY: Work primarily with writers to plan, write, and revise BJU Press materials to develop Biblical worldview thinking in students.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work alongside writers to plan, write, and revise objectives, instructional materials, and assessments that support the BJU Press mandate for biblical worldview formation.
  • Research various aspects of academic disciplines to determine how to integrate biblical worldview thinking into the teaching of the subject matter.
  • Meet weekly with the assistant director to plan projects and receive direction.
  • Meet regularly with teams to evaluate progress and plan success.
  • Support classroom teachers and homeschool parents as needed by responding to telephone and email inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Promote BJU Press materials as needed for VIP (Vision, Inspiration, and Purpose) guests, onsite conferences, video conferences, and BJU courses.
  • Assist BJU Press in promoting Biblical Worldview shaping in new opportunities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Expertise in Biblical and Systematic Theology
  • Facility with key ideas related to worldview and education
  • Competence with software used in the writing process
  • Pedagogical competence
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Interest in and ability to write educational materials
  • Microsoft Office, InCopy
  • Education degree a plus
  • Teaching experience a plus
