Executive Pastor/Executive Director
The Big Picture
Calvary Bible Church (calvarybible.org) is prayerfully seeking an Executive Pastor/Executive Director To assist the Senior Pastor in advancing the church's mission and vision through strategic leadership, organizational oversight, and the effective execution of ministry and administrative responsibilities.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Team Morale: Fostering team morale by personally modeling and actively encouraging a servant-
hearted, positive, encouraging, and energetic staff culture.
2. Administrative Leadership: Leadership of all staff members and departments not directly
supervised by a pastor, particularly Finance, Facilities, Ministry Support, and Human Resources.
3. Vision Implementation: Implement, manage, and ensure the completion of strategic objectives,
ongoing ministries, and common administrative tasks delegated by the Senior Pastor.
4. Internal Communication: Facilitation of accurate, thorough, timely, and positive internal
communication among staff, elders, deacons, ministry volunteers, and the congregation.
5. Special Projects: Planning and execution of special projects, conferences, and events as assigned.
6. Operations: Oversee the coordination of facility use, ministry, event, vacation, and other
schedules.
7. Policies & Procedures: Ensure policies and procedures of the church are current, relevant, and
followed; and responsibly and effectively align with best practices and the decisions made by
Calvary's elders and Senior Pastor.
8. External Communication: Develop, implement, and oversee external communication strategies
that increase community awareness of the church and its ministries, including maintaining a clear,
current, and engaging digital presence across the church's website and social media platforms.
9. Other Responsibilities: All other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Spiritual: Must meet the Biblical requirements of an Elder (1 Tim. 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9); consistent
Christ-like character evidencing a growing relationship with Jesus Christ; membership at Calvary
Bible Church (CBC) including full agreement with the CBC Constitution and Statement of Faith; and
faithful attendance at CBC worship services and support of CBC ministries.
2. Personal: Must have excellent leadership, communication, and relational skills; be enthusiastic and
positive; be a team player who can take initiative while submitting to leadership; and be highly
organized.
3. Aspirational: Enthusiastic support for the pastors' and elders' philosophy of ministry and vision.
4. Educational: Bachelor's degree in a role-related field; Bible minor from a doctrinally like-minded
school, or an equivalent level of Bible knowledge.
5. Professional: Minimum 3-5 years of significant leadership responsibility in multiple-staff, multiple-
department setting.
