Position               : Microsoft BI Architect
Job Location       : Chicago, IL
Duration              : 12+ months

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  Architect, design, and develop & enhance BI solutions including data warehouse
  Using SDLC methodology to perform requirement gathering, functional analysis, technical design, development, testing, and deployment
  Designing, developing, and testing data management matching, merging, consolidation, purging, and cleansing and extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) functionality
  Apply Microsoft BI expertise in system architecture design and hands on development and maintenance of BI systems
  Designing, building and enhancing data marts, and analytic engines
  Installing, configuring, and, if necessary, customizing analytics management tools
  Designing, developing, maintains, and support all BI reports
  Designing, developing, maintains, and support interface ETL code
  Assist with hardware, software, and data communications architecture and sizing
  Contribute to the development and support of ongoing production services
  Partners with business departmental teams to define and document business requirements
  Create new reports and dashboards
  Queries, analyzes, and interprets complex data stored in the target systems
  Identify data quality issues and see through to resolution
  Test and validate data flow and reports


Qualifications
 REQUIREMENTS:
  8+ years of working knowledge of architecture, design and development of scalable Business Intelligence solutions for a large data warehouse, using different architecture, design and modeling techniques
  Extensive knowledge of database management systems, replication concepts, data warehouse systems and business intelligence tools
  Understanding of SQL Server 2012, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS including dimensional Modelling, SharePoint BI Integration, Administration of Servers
  Advanced grasp of Relational database design and Multidimensional & Tabular design concepts
  5+ years of experience in data movement/ETL concepts and tools like Microsoft SSIS, SSRS, and/or SSAS including programming languages like T-SQL, PL/SQL etc. is desired
  5+ years of experience of building impactful reports and dashboards using major BI toolsets.
  Experience in developing IT architecture plans and software development methodologies, collaboration and leadership
  Must be able to provide simplified and standardized solutions to achieve the business objectives
  Well versed with database administration tasks, SQL and MDX concepts
  Keep current with Business Intelligence best practices and operational requirements
  Strong analytical, multi-tasking and problem solving skills along with strong communication and teak work skills
  Mentor and train BI team resources in the Microsoft BI technology stack and best practices
