Job Description
Position: Front End Developer, eCommerce
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Duration: 6 months+
The eCommerce developer provides leadership, direction and implementation on technical projects that affect all client consumer brand ecommerce sites. In this role you will work within a team to implement new features and functions as well as maintain, support and upgrade existing functionality. In addition, you will utilize previous eCommerce experience to identify and implement improvements in site implementation.
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Duration: 6 months+
The eCommerce developer provides leadership, direction and implementation on technical projects that affect all client consumer brand ecommerce sites. In this role you will work within a team to implement new features and functions as well as maintain, support and upgrade existing functionality. ย ย ย Develop and maintain the UI tier based on industry best practices
ย ย ย Implement rapid changes to meet changing business and marketing requirements
ย ย ย Develop functional and technical documentation on assigned projects
ย ย ย Work in a team environment in supporting the team goals, and improving web development engineering practices
ย ย ย Analyze and optimize pages and page design for maximum performance
ย ย ย Experience with CSS-based table-free page layouts
ย ย ย Act as mentor to peers
ย ย ย Develop code consistent with standard coding practices
Qualification
ย ย ย BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
ย ย ย 4 years writing custom HTML5, CSS#, and JavaScript
ย ย ย Expertise writing semantic, modular front end cod using HTML5, CSS3, and W3C coding practices
ย ย ย Ability to understand the concepts of progressive enhancement
ย ย ย Experience with CSS frameworks (ex. SASS, LESS) and Javascript MV Frameworks (ex. Backbone, AngularJS, Ember) is a plus
ย ย ย Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
ย ย ย Expertise in performance optimization using tools such as YSlow or PageSpeed
ย ย ย Experience navigating Photoshop and slicing/saving images for the web
ย ย ย Experience writing simple SQL statements (SELECT, UPDATE, INSERT, DELETE)
ย ย ย Experience using jQuery
ย ย ย Experience using JSP/JSTL or equivalent server side templating language (PHP, ASP)
ย ย ย A firm grasp of SEO / SEM best practices
ย ย ย Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, unit test, system test, deployment and production support.
