BI Developer

Location: Juno Beach, Florida (On-site)

Role Overview

We are seeking a BI Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the agile team and end-users to develop reporting systems that provide accessible information for decision-making. This role involves using the data platform and associated databases to solve organizational problems through reports, analysis, and data visualization, with a focus on data design, access, usage, security, and quality of information assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on reporting features for current and upcoming projects, creating reports for mid-office teams on credit and quantitative risk.
  • Design, develop, and manage reporting catalogs, comparing new requests against existing inventory.
  • Integrate strategies across multiple reporting programs and projects.
  • Facilitate the inclusion of multiple disparate data sources into the overall reporting framework.
  • Collaborate with Principal Solutions Architects to ensure data platform design is optimally aligned with reporting tools.
  • Participate in project teams for systems analysis, design, development, integration, and maintenance.
  • Assist in developing the project scope and serve as a project point of contact when necessary.
  • Participate in functional, technical, and user acceptance testing, and resolve identified defects.
  • Build and modify database tables and views, and optimize SQL queries and indexes.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of reporting best practices and standards.
Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence, developing and managing reports and data sources. Experience can be valued over formal education if the candidate can demonstrate proficiency.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and Oracle is required.
  • Experience with SSAS and Datacube is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developing reporting architecture, dashboards, and portals with Power BI.
  • Experience with data querying, DAX formulas, and setting up data flows in Power BI.
  • Detailed knowledge of business intelligence security and administration concepts with Power BI.
  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server BI Stack tools such as SSRS and Power Query.
  • Experience with writing and optimizing SQL.
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and tools.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or commensurate work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS and Redshift databases.
  • Experience with Fabric.
  • Experience with Databricks
