Job description

Job Description:

The Sales Coordinator - Distribution Channel is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding Closure Systems International's strategic distribution network throughout North America. This role partners with national and regional distributors to identify growth opportunities, develop joint business plans, and increase market share across CSI's packaging portfolio.
The successful candidate serves as the primary commercial contact for assigned distribution partners while collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and profitable growth. This is a highly visible role requiring strong relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for developing long-term partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute strategic growth plans for assigned distribution partners.
  2. Build executive-level relationships with distributor leadership, sales management, and key account teams.
  3. Conduct joint customer visits to identify new business opportunities and support distributor sales efforts.
  4. Train distributor sales organizations on CSI products, capabilities, and value proposition.
  5. Identify new markets, applications, and channel expansion opportunities.
  6. Develop annual business plans including revenue, volume, EBITDA, and growth objectives.
  7. Lead pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements.
  8. Coordinate with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing to ensure outstanding customer support.
  9. Maintain accurate forecasts, CRM updates, opportunity pipelines, and business reviews.
  10. Represent CSI at industry trade shows, customer events, and distributor meetings.
  11. Travel extensively throughout North America to strengthen relationships and drive business growth.

Educational and Other Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of successful B2B sales or channel management experience.
  • Experience managing distributors, manufacturer representatives, or indirect sales channels.
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to negotiate contracts and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Preferred experience in Packaging, Industrial Distribution, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Consumer Products, Medical Device, or Industrial Products.

Travel

This position requires approximately 60–80% travel, typically 3–4 days per week, throughout North America. Travel includes customer visits, distributor ride-alongs, business reviews, plant visits, sales meetings, and industry trade shows.
